Walking around my apartment complex I had noticed the various different cracks and crevices left over in the pavement, and it reminded me about one of the numerous explorations in our book. Once I stopped and analyzed each individual crack. I wondered how it got there, and how it formed. How long has the crack been there and when was the pavement first laid down.
Once I started to read the reading Spine I started to make a connection between the image and the text. I used various clippings like original intentions and transformed because I was wondering what the parking lot originally looked like and its progression in to what it is today. I also used clippings such as skeletal frame and spine of your creation because the lines reminds me of the skeletal system with various different smaller lines which represent the different bones in the body.
Then when I started to combine text with images I decided to use one picture. I then blew up this image o you could see every little detail, and laid it across 10 different index cards. I also did this so you can make it a puzzle. You can try to connect the cracks as to how every you may choose, to make this more of an interactive piece with the viewer.
